Tour Overview

Classic Savanna Safari on the Equator

Queen Elizabeth National Park spans the equator line, with monuments marking the exact spot where it crosses latitude 00. Founded in 1952 as Kazinga National Park, it is home to over 95 mammal species and 600 bird species — one of the highest counts of any park in Africa.

The park’s Ishasha sector is famous for its rare tree-climbing lions lounging in fig trees, while a cruise along the Kazinga Channel brings you within metres of massive hippo pods, buffalo herds and elephants coming to drink.
