Uganda is home to the largest and most concentrated diversity of African fauna, including endangered gorillas and chimpanzees. Uganda is accessible and affordable. This gives it more of an edge, originality and is less predictable, that is not dangerous but rather excellent opportunities for excitement. Uganda is at the heart of Africa, where you find the dirty urban rash of Kampala city crowded at the seams, then giving way to rich subsistence farming and small villages. Roads are a bit rough, people are warm and friendly, and some things do not move according to schedule.

Gorilla trekking is undoubtedly the biggest activity in the Ugandan tourism industry. Over half the remaining population of endangered mountain gorillas live in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi is such a marvelous experience. Only one family out of the 12 habituated gorilla families lives in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Uganda has Murchison Falls, the most explosive waterfall in the whole world, the centerpiece to Murchison Falls National Park and the only place where you get a chance to see the big five game animals. Another great reason to visit Uganda is the fascinating chimpanzee trekking activity in Kibale Forest National Park.

The culture of Rwanda is very diversified, and it has had a unified state since pre-colonial times, unlike many other countries in Africa. It not only includes the population of Rwanda but also Kinyarwanda-speaking people in the neighboring states, particularly Uganda and the Congo.

There are 3 main ethnic groups in Rwandan culture: the Hutu, Tusi, and Twa, and these are based on perceptions of historical origins and not cultural differences. All three speak the same language, live interspersed throughout the same territory, and also practice the same religions. Rwandans living in Uganda and Congo include refugees as well as Kinyarwanda speakers who have lived outside Rwanda for generations, and all of these usually maintain a strong identification with the Rwandan national state.
