This 8 days Uganda gorilla tour starts and ends in Kampala. Detailed 8 Days Uganda Primates Tour

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by our experienced guide who will transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe. Depending on your arrival time, you will have the opportunity to explore the town and acclimatize to Uganda’s weather and time zone. Overnight in Entebbe.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, you will depart for Kibale Forest National Park, which is located in western Uganda. The journey takes approximately 6 hours, and you will have several stopovers to enjoy scenic views of the countryside. Upon arrival in Kibale, you will check into your lodge and relax. Overnight in Kibale.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Swamp Walk

In the morning, you will go for chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest. You will track these primates through the forest, and once you find them, you will spend an hour observing and taking pictures. In the afternoon, you will go for a nature walk in Bigodi Swamp, where you will see various bird species, butterflies, and other primates. Overnight in Kibale.Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, you will depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is famous for its diverse wildlife and scenery. The journey takes approximately 3 hours, and you will have several stopovers to enjoy scenic views of the Rwenzori Mountains and the crater lakes. Upon arrival in Queen Elizabeth, you will check into your lodge and relax. Overnight in Queen Elizabeth.

Day 5: Game Drive and Boat Cruise.

In the morning, you will go for a game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have an opportunity to see various wildlife such as elephants, lions, buffaloes, and antelopes, among others. In the afternoon, you will go for a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where you will see hippos, crocodiles, and various bird species. Overnight in Queen Elizabeth.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

After breakfast, you will depart for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, which is located in southwestern Uganda. The journey takes approximately 5 hours, and you will have several stopovers to enjoy scenic views of the countryside. Upon arrival in Bwindi, you will check into your lodge and relax. Overnight in Bwindi.

Day 7: Gorilla Tracking 

You will go for gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. You will track these gentle giants through the forest, and once you find them, you will spend an hour observing and taking pictures. After breakfast, you will depart for Entebbe International Airport, marking the end of your 8-day Uganda Primates Tour. Depending on your departure time, you may have an opportunity to stop at the Equator for a photo opportunity before continuing to the airport for your flight back home.
